"Trevor was my first Yoga teacher and opened my eyes to something that has truly changed my life. I have tried a variety of teachers, all with their merits, but find myself going back to his classes thanks to his focus on safety, alignment and form not to mention the lightness and fun that he brings into class."

For the past few years I've become a fan of "The Biggest Loser".  I especially enjoy watching the trainers inspire their contestants. Often times the contestants get attached to their trainers because of the amazing help that the trainers are able to give to the contestants.  Helping them to change their lives, helping them to learn to be healthier. It is amazing to me to see the transformations that take place in the contestants physically, mentally and emotionally.  I find myself crying during many of the episodes when the contestants share their stories of tribulation, and I also cry when they have amazing triumph on the scale as well as in their own personal growth. The trainers not only kick the contestants butts in the gym, but they also pull them aside for heart to heart conversations, and usually they get to the heart of the matter.  It is not as simple as just changing food and adding in exercise.  There often are bigger, mental and emotional issues involved in the cause of the individuals weight gain.  There also often is psychological trauma resulting from living their lives in such an unhealthy body.

I have watched many episodes and thought how I wished I could affect people in such a positive way as the trainers do on "The Biggest Loser".  Often I have thought, "but I am not a personal trainer, I won't have such a profound impact on someone like that".  I have had a desire since I was young to do something special with my life, to touch people's lives in a deep and profound way. I see the affect made on the contestants by their trainers and the process of "The Biggest Loser" and I am inspired and amazed.

Recently I had a realization while watching an episode of "The Biggest Loser".  I realized that I have the tools as a Yoga teacher, and even MORE tools now as a Yoga Therapist to do just what I see the trainers doing on the show.  Yes I may not kick people's butts in the gym, and yes I won't help them lose 100's of pounds in a matter of months, but I do have the tools, and capability to help people transform their lives in positive and profound ways.  Yoga is not just merely a series of postures done as exercise.  Yoga Therapy is not just physical therapy with Yoga poses.  Yoga and Yoga Therapy are a way of healing and transforming our lives.  There is so much more to Yoga than the western world's view of it as pretzel shaped poses with the body.  Yoga touches us in physical, but also energetic, mental, personality, and deep emotional levels.  So many diseases and ailments in the world are either caused by or increased by mental, emotional, energetic, and personality rooted factors.  Through Yoga we can really get in touch with deeper levels of our ailments and begin a process of inner and outer healing.

Now when I watch "The Biggest Loser" I am inspired to use the tools and skills in my Yoga Therapist tool belt to help transform lives.  I realize that I have the ability to do what I've always wanted, to touch people's lives in a positive way.  To really make a difference.  I have been told a few times by students how things I have said in class have really helped them, and every time I know I am on the right path, and it makes me feel so appreciated and warmed.  From someone saying how my class has helped them with their jump shot in basketball, to how my class has aided in their recovery after a stroke, or how when they have the time to come to my class regularly they end up having to cut back on their blood pressure medicine.  These are all amazing things and I am so grateful to be able to touch lives in such a way.

I can not wait, and I am so ready to work even deeper with students.  To delve into the Yoga practice physically, mentally, personality wise, energetically and emotionally with students on a more intimate one-on-one way so we can really help them find the Yoga practice and tools that will truly help them heal, grow, and become their own inspirations.  I have the tools, skills, desire, and will to help and I know I am ready.  I know it will be a long process and a learning process with every student I work with in this fashion, but I am ready for the challenge.

Let me help you.  If you are reading this and have anything you would like to work on, or work with, and if you feel like I would be someone who could help inspire you to transform your life please don't hesitate to call This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
